Family, friends and hockey have been the cornerstones of my life with events focusing around delectable food and wine. The sense of warmth and community I felt while gathered around a table with my parents, siblings, grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins always nourished me more than the food itself.
Our family traditions strengthened our family ties. We would gather to celebrate birthdays, holidays and -- most importantly -- Hockey Night in Canada. Being 2,700 miles from family, Jim and I created our own traditions, hosting frequent dinner parties and our annual Christmas Eve celebration for our large local family of friends in Los Angeles.
As Jim’s passion for wine evolved, I developed an appreciation for the nuances of wine-and-food pairing. My fascination grew as we traveled and tasted, and the dream of one day making our own wine began to form. Today, this dream has become a reality.
I cherish my experiences with family and friends, and I wish you the same irreplaceable treasures as you enjoy wine from our Patiné Cellars.
Jim and I have been a successful team since our marriage in 1981. Currently, I oversee all aspects of accounting for Patiné Cellars.
